Daniel Mączynski

I deal with contemporary painting.

I don’t want to write about the meaning of my painting, hidden subtexts and analyses, because this assessment belongs to others. However, I want to write what I am aiming for. What I’m interested in is the synthesis of form. My work revolves around figures, but they are more mysterious forms than people. My paintings go through a process of geometrization – which brings to mind scientific experiments to create a new being, where mistakes occur along the way – and this is my inspiration, unsuccessful and abandoned forms. I use various means to paint them – sometimes they have a surrealistic atmosphere and sometimes they dissolve into abstract non-existence.
